Tree Removal
Dead ash leaning toward the house, a maple swallowing the driveway, or a giant in a backyard with no gate access — we take down trees of any size, anywhere on the property. Tight access is our specialty, and for large removals over structures we bring in a crane and float the trunk over the roof in controlled picks instead of dropping anything near your home.
What's included- Any size tree — from ornamentals to 80-foot hardwoods
- Tight-access rigging between houses, fences, and gardens
- Crane work for large removals over structures
- Full haul-away of wood and brush included — or firewood left cut, your call
Trimming & Pruning
Good pruning is invisible — the tree just looks healthier, fuller, and further from your gutters. Our ISA Certified Arborist directs every job: crown thinning to let light and wind through, deadwood removal before it ends up on the lawn, and clearance cuts to keep limbs off the roof and power lines. One Indiana rule we never break: oaks get pruned in the dormant season only, because fresh cuts in the growing season attract the beetles that spread oak wilt.
What's included- Crown thinning and shaping directed by a certified arborist
- Deadwood removal throughout the canopy
- Clearance from rooflines, gutters, and service lines
- Oaks scheduled for dormant-season pruning only — oak wilt prevention
Stump Grinding
A stump isn't just ugly — it's a mower obstacle, a termite invitation, and the reason that corner of the yard never looks finished. We grind every stump 8–12 inches below grade, backfill the hole with the chips, and rake it smooth so the spot is ready for seed or sod. Most stumps are gone in under an hour, and we can usually fit grinding in the same week you call.
What's included- Ground 8–12" below grade — deep enough to replant grass over
- Chips backfilled into the hole and raked level
- Sod- and seed-ready finish — no crater, no mound
- Multi-stump discounts — the second one always costs less than the first
Storm & Emergency Response
When a tree comes through the roof at 2 a.m., you don't need a callback in the morning — you need a crew now. Our storm line is answered by a real person 24/7, and trees on structures jump to the front of the queue. We tarp the opening, lift the tree off safely, clear the debris, and photograph and document everything along the way so your insurance claim has what it needs.
What's included- 24/7 answered storm line — nights, weekends, holidays
- Tree-on-structure calls get priority response
- Tarp & clear first — we stop the damage before anything else
- Photos and documentation of everything for your insurance claim
Lot & Land Clearing
Breaking ground on a build, reclaiming a fence line the honeysuckle ate, or turning an overgrown lot back into usable land — we clear it, chip it, and haul it so the next contractor (or your mower) can get straight to work. Every clearing job is different, so we quote them the honest way: a walk-through of the property and a written price for exactly what you want gone.
What's included- Building sites cleared and ready for excavation
- Fence lines opened up — brush, volunteers, and vines removed
- Overgrown lots and acreage cut, chipped, and hauled
- Stump grinding and grading available on the same visit
Asked at every estimate.
Are you insured?
Fully — general liability and workers' compensation, and we'll send you the certificate of insurance before the job if you'd like it for your records. Never let an uninsured crew climb a tree over your house; if a climber gets hurt or a limb finds a skylight, an uninsured contractor's problem becomes yours.
Do you take the wood, or can I keep it?
Your call. Haul-away of all wood, brush, and chips is included in every quote. If you'd rather keep firewood, we'll buck the trunk into stove-length rounds and stack them where you want — and if you have a garden, just ask and we'll leave you a pile of fresh chips for mulch.
When should oaks be pruned in Indiana?
Dormant season only — roughly late fall through early spring, while the tree is asleep and the sap beetles that spread oak wilt aren't flying. Pruning an oak in the growing season leaves fresh wounds that can attract those beetles and introduce a fungus that can kill a mature oak in a single year. It's why we'll happily quote your oak in June but schedule the cuts for winter.
Do I need to be home for the estimate or the work?
Not unless you want to be. For the estimate, point us at the tree when you book online and we'll walk the property and leave the written quote at your door (and email a copy). On work day, as long as the crew can reach the tree — gates unlocked, cars out of the drop zone — you're free to be at work while we are.
