Term & Renewal
The website build is a one-time engagement that includes your first 12 months of hosting & support. After that, the Care Plan renews automatically every 12 months at the same flat annual price — the renewal price stated in this agreement never increases.
Cancellation & Your Code
Cancel any upcoming renewal with written notice (email is fine) before your renewal date. When you cancel, you receive your complete website files and source code and may host it anywhere you like — no exit fees, no lock-in. No refunds are provided for the one-time build once work has begun, or for a Care-Plan year already in progress.
Payment
Invoiced via QuickBooks. Build typically 50% deposit / 50% at launch; Care Plan billed annually. Client is responsible for taxes and any card-processing fees (ACH is free). Payment due within 30 days of invoice.
Timeline & Cooperation
Builds typically complete within 2–4 weeks of onboarding, subject to the client providing content, branding, and access. Delays in materials delay the launch date.
Ownership
On full payment, the client owns the final website and the content they provided, plus their domain. No404 retains rights to underlying reusable code/components and may feature the finished work in its portfolio.
Care Plan Scope
The Care Plan covers managed hosting, security, updates, and minor content changes. Want to add something later — online booking, a store, a custom tool? Any new solution can be added at any time under a separate fixed-price quote. Major redesigns and new feature builds are quoted the same way: one fixed price, agreed before work starts.
Limitation of Liability
No404's total liability shall not exceed the fees paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.
Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Indiana.
